Cal Poly’s Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) student chapter achieved significant recognition at the 2024 ITE Western District Meeting, earning multiple prestigious honors. The chapter received an Honorable Mention for Best Student Chapter, showcasing their exceptional activities and leadership. They also won the Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award for their active participation and outstanding performance at the event, where points were awarded based on general attendance, participation in student events, and volunteering. Additionally, Dr. Anurag Pande, a professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, was honored with the Educator of the Year Award. These achievements highlight the dedication, hard work, and excellence of Cal Poly ITE’s students and faculty in the field of transportation engineering.
