Major: Civil Engineering
Hometown: San Diego, CA
What made you choose engineering?
I chose engineering because I have always enjoyed building things and figuring out how things work. My favorite subjects in high school were math and physics, and I had always been interested in grand structures and bridges.
What are your hobbies?
Some of my favorite hobbies include knitting, crocheting, going to the movies, and hanging out at the beach.
What’s your dream job after graduation?
I am currently figuring out if I want to pursue structural engineering or the project engineering route in construction. My goal is to work somewhere where I am excited about the projects we are working on and that there is an emphasis on sustainability.
Are you part of any extracurriculars on or off campus?
I am a part of the Steel Bridge Competition Team, and I have the position of Junior Machining Captain. It has been a great opportunity for me to have hands-on experience and get to know more people.
Why did you choose to attend Cal Poly, and what was the path that brought you here?
I chose to attend Cal Poly because I had heard about the great engineering program and really liked the campus and surrounding area when I toured. The size of Cal Poly also felt perfect for me.
