Albright (she/her) earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she researched reinforced-concrete and steel composite beam-column joints. She earned her Professional Engineering License during  her time at KPFF Consulting Engineers, working on projects from floating bridges to underground structures, to roadways and stormwater management facilities. She spent time as a visiting researcher at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden, studying and modeling railway bridge dynamics before moving to Virginia to pursue her Ph.D. at Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech she worked on shear deficient reinforced concrete structural walls, considering seismic retrofit strategies, seismic assessment, and numerical modeling.
