HAZWOPER Training

The Society of Environmental Engineers, CalGeo, and Society of Civil Engineers are excited to provide students with fully online 40-hour HAZWOPER training courses.

What is HAZWOPER?

HAZWOPER training is an in-depth education in OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Standards. Personnel involved in the cleanup and restoration of contaminated sites must have the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training certification. It is recommended for many geotechnical engineers and environmental engineers. This training has to be renewed once a year and can be renewed with an 8 HR refresher course. Possession of the HAZWOPER certification often helps students get a job or internship.

How do I get the training?

The HAZWOPER trainings are available for purchase during specific times in the school year; for more information or to purchase contact SENVE, CalGeo, or SCE. Email calpolysenve@gmail.compresident.cpsce@gmail.com, or calpolycalgeo@gmail.com.

How much does the training cost?

For club members this training is $100, and for non-members it is $125.
