Rachel Klemm Internship Spotlight

 

Recent Cal Poly civil engineering graduate Rachel Klemm has spent her summer interning at the Stantec office in Irvine. This internship has given her real-world insight into how projects for clients are executed from start to finish. She’s been able to sit in on meetings, view and create plans for on-going projects across Orange County, and increase her knowledge about software like Civil 3D. Rachel has also paired her time with the AutoCAD Committee; a group of engineers from multiple Stantec offices in California. She is helping them create uniform objects and an informational manual about the different plan sets.

 

“I spend much of my time creating designs in the software, but one of the coolest aspects of land development is being able to see the finished product right outside my door!
