Alumni Spotlight: Rexel Boter
Rexel Boter, a 2019 Cal Poly alumni, shared her experience after graduation as a Civil Engineer at Jacobs, “I currently work at Jacobs based in the San Francisco office as an entry level Civil Engineer. I started off working at Jacobs as an intern in the Summer of 2019 and after completing my internship I was given a full-time offer to work at Jacobs after I completed my degree at Cal Poly.”
Rexel is currently involved with the Clean Water Program with the City of San Mateo, “and one of the projects in this program is the upgrade and expansion of the wastewater treatment plant in San Mateo. We are currently in the construction phase, and I am helping with the construction management of the project. I have been working full-time on-site on this project since 2020. On the side, I am also working on a project where we are developing a design to integrate hydrogen hubs with wastewater treatment plants.”
She also shared her experience working with Cal Poly alumni post-graduation, “It’s very exciting and fun seeing different Cal Poly alumni that I work with in my projects! I work with Cal Poly alumni in my company and from different companies in my projects and it’s exciting where we all end up after graduating!”
