Civil Engineering Senior Design Showcase

may 23, 2019 | 5:00 - 8:00 PM

Each year, our civil engineering students embark on a three-quarter Capstone Project where we take them to the brink of “engineering in real life” without it actually being real life. The course is taught around the QBS process where our students submit SOQs as small firms, present themselves for the job, get the award, and after 1,000s of team hours, produce plans, calculations, and engineer’s estimates. In this business casual showcase, the students put on a poster session and present final conceptual designs.

This year, we would like to open this up to the larger San Luis Obispo County engineering community. The Department of Civil Engineering will host this event with beer/wine, light appetizers and free parking.
